Ok so I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea to work on President’s Day. I am trying to be thrifty with my vacation days and by working today I get to save this day off to be used another time but I am bored out of my mind. So I decided to play that little ipod game where you shuffle songs and write down the first 25 songs that come up. I have to say, I think my list is quite embarrassing, so you know I didn’t cheat.
1. Innocence Maintained-Jewl (Spirit)
2. Cartwheels-The Reindeer Section –never listened to this song before, came off and OC mix album
3. Get Another Boyfriend-Backstreet Boys (Black & Blue) – I spend a lot of time in the bonus room listening to this album.
4. Christie Road-Green Day (Kerplunk) – I’m a closet Green Day fan, and yes I own this album from before they “hit it big”
5. Feng Shui-Gnarls Barkley (St. Elsewhere)
6. Fat Boy-Jewel (Spirit) –two Jewel songs from the same album??
7. She’s Alive-Andre 3000 (The Love Below)
8. Vibrate-Andre 3000 (The Love Below)-very strange that these two songs came up back to back
9. Enter the Circus-Christina Aguilera (Back to Basics)
10. Ten Crack Commandments-Notorious BIG (Life after Death)
11. I’m Yours-Jason Mraz (We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things)-first one I stopped to listen to, my fave song right now
12. You See the Trouble With Me-Black Legend (NYC Underground Party)-I can’t help it, I’m from Staten Island, I used to work out to this type of stuff
13. Say it Ain’t So-Weezer (Blue Album)
14. Don’t-Jewel (Pieces of You)-ok now this is getting embarrassing, I don’t really have that much Jewel that she should come up 3 times out of 14
15. Perfect Situation –Weezer (Make Believe)-ok I think I need to diversify my music
16. Signs-Snoop Dogg, Charlie Wilson & Justin Timberlake (R&G (rhythm & gangsta))
17. Umbrella-Rihanna feat Jay-Z (Good Girl Gone Bad)
18. All the Way up to Heaven-Guster (Lost and Gone Forever)
19. Into the Groove-Madonna (the Immaculate Collection)-great CD, can’t really get into her new stuff like I loved her old stuff
20. Touch Me-The Doors-just got the Very Best of the Doors for Christmas, I’m really into it right now
21. Specialist-Interpol-From that dumb OC mix album again
22. Caught By the River-Doves
23. Soar-Christina Aguilera (Stripped)-not gonna lie, I really like this whole album
24. Ill Na Na-Foxy Brown feat Method Man
25. LA Woman- The Doors
The lesson I’ve learned from this is the next time I know I’m not going to have much to do and am thinking about working on a holiday I’ll stay home and curl up with my snuggie instead. That way I’ll have my hands free to skip through all the craptacular songs that come up on my ipod, since everyone knows how hard it is to maneuver while under a blanket (WTF??).
